Lost Cat In Brooklyn Heights: Have You Seen Phantom?

This just in to the BHB Newsroom:

During Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition’s Adoption Van event on Sunday, a little girl tried to hold a cat that got away from her. He dashed out the door and into traffic.

Phantom is a sweet but shy 18 month old black cat. BBAWC members and supporters (and neighbors and doormen) spent the afternoon and evening chasing this poor cat.

He needs medication. He’s not a ‘street cat’ and is very frightened right now.

He was last spotted in the Pierrepont/Columbia Heights/Promenade area. He will likely bolt if approached, but he loves tuna/sardines/wet food. He may try to hide in a doorway, or even run into a house.

If he is spotted, PLEASE contact BrooklynBridgeAnimals@yahoo.com or call 347-599-1930, and BBAWC will send a volunteer to help catch him. Help us bring poor Phantom back – he has a loving home waiting for him. Thank you!

With a name like “Phantom”, he obviously needs his freedom. To be a kitty superhero.

    Meow, meow. What a cutie.

I’m starting a Facebook page and requesting donations – to find Phantom of course.

I just spoke with one of Phantom’s guardians. There are several black cats in the neighborhood, so be on the lookout for a 16-pounder (that’s a large cat) with a shaved patch on one foreleg.

Keep a look-out for a shaved patch on one front leg, karenede, and report back!
