Subway Service Alerts for Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This coming weekend there will be no Brooklyn bound service at the Court Street or Jay Street-Metro Tech stations on the R or N (which replaces the R late at night) from 11:30 Friday night until 5:00 a.m. Monday. R and N trains are being diverted over the Q line between Canal Street in Manhattan and DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn. Should you be on an R or N and find yourself riding over the Manhattan Bridge, you may get off at the first Brooklyn stop, DeKalb, and take a Manhattan bound train back to Jay or Court. To get to the Heights or nearby from Manhattan during the weekend, use the 2, 3, 4, A, or C, all of which should be running normally except that Brooklyn bound C and (late night) A trains won’t be making local stops in Manhattan above Canal.

The following week, from 11:45 p.m to 5:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, Manhattan bound A trains will be re-routed over the F line between Jay Street and West 4th Street. Since C trains don’t run during these hours, this means no Manhattan bound service at High Street. You can walkdown the hill to York Street, or use the 2 or 3 at Clark Street (but not the 3 during the wee hours of Tuesday, when it won’t be running in either direction) as an option.
