A new Facebook destination, “Brooklyn Heights Parents,” launched this month to serve as an interactive forum for Brooklyn Heights’ families. facebook.com/BrooklynHeightsParents will “provide updates about the neighborhood, our children’s life and everything noteworthy for grown-ups. We filter local news for busy parents to deliver relevant information.”
A sister page was simultaneously launched for DUMBO parents at facebook.com/DUMBOParents. As of Saturday, the BH page had accumulated 137 “Likes,” while the DUMBO site has 185.
According to a release announcing the sites, “Parents in DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights need a community Facebook page. We all have very little time and Facebook is an efficient tool to keep us updated and connected with family and friends. We use it on our mobile device various times a day: at the playground, on the way to work or while the kids are napping. DUMBO Parents and Brooklyn Heights Parents will now allow you to also stay connected to your community.”
