Thursday's CB2 meeting brought no new arguments for or against the Atlantic Yards project according to local reports.
Brooklyn Papers: Only two community members spoke in support of the project. Surrounded by four fellow supporters in hard hats and orange vests, both said they supported the project because it would bring construction jobs.
Brooklyn Downtown Star: Donald Fraser of the Brooklyn Heights Association said although his organization would welcome the arrival of a professional sports team in Brooklyn, the Frank Gehry-designed buildings and arena "[defy] the fabric of historical neighborhoods that surround the site" and called the site a "city within a city" that will overwhelm neighboring areas.
