Bargemusic, at the Fulton Ferry Pier, foot of Old Fulton Street, has a full schedule of concerts over the next four days. Tomorrow (Thursday, January 3) and Friday, January 4, starting at 8:00 p.m., are two concerts in the “Here and Now” series, featuring works by contemporary composers. On Saturday, January 5 starting at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 6 starting at 2:00 p.m. there will be a “Masterworks” concert featuring works by Haydn (image above), Dvořák, and Beethoven. On Saturday afternoon starting at 3:00 p.m. (doors open at 2:30; seating is first come, first served) Bargemusic has a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert; the program will be announced at the performance.
The Brooklyn Heights Cinema, 70 Henry Street (corner of Orange) will begin showing Promised Land, starring Matt Damon, Frances McDormand, and John Krasinski, this Friday. Showtimes are not available as of the time of posting; check the Cinema’s website for times and for information on other movies playing this weekend.
