Townhouse At 14 College Place Sells With $5.2M Asking

A Brooklyn Heights townhouse at 14 College Place with a $5.2 million asking price has entered contract—the third most expensive single-family home on the market in Brooklyn, according to Streeteasy. The three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home was marketed by Corcoran, The Real Deal reports.

The 25-foot-wide home has a garage, elevator, garden, semi-finished basement and a gas fireplace. The property adjoins another single-family townhouse, 12 College Place, which traded hands over the summer for $4.85 million. If the listing indeed sold for its $5.2 million ask, it would be the eighth most expensive townhouse marketed as a single-family home or single-family conversion to trade in the borough over the past six years. A brownstone is so much better than a condo or co/op this one with a garage is worth an extra million a private garage is a wonderful thing here in Brooklyn Heights.

Liked it much better when it was a garage! Still miss Wiley, Hope and all the other Love Lane Garage guys…dusty Cadman Plaza ain’t the same.

P.S. Anyone think there’s just too much $$$ floating around? Seems like a crazy price for fairly mediocre construction.

P.P.S. Who needs an elevator to get from garden to top floor?
