Along with so many weekend goodies below, Sunday marks the Montague Street Business Improvement District’s second Summer Space event, following Part 1 on September 9. If the weather is as beautiful this weekend, enjoy activities from noon-5 p.m. that include: craft-making demos with Etsy New York; chess tables from New York Chess & Games (courtesy of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle); a photo booth (strike a pose on your favorite block); a scavenger hunt; Play Land with bubble machine, chalk, hula hoops, jump ropes & beach balls; and food samples, deals and discounts along Montague.
In addition: Muzik by DJ Ricardo Campos from noon-2; Outdoor Yoga with Yoga People from 2-3; opera by The Martha Cardona Theater from 3-4; dance by Brooklyn Ballet’s Co. & Youth Ensemble from 4-4:30; and Zumba Class by the Dodge YMCA from 4-5.
Of course, the Brooklyn Heights Dog Show, a favorite annual event, will bark up Montague Street from 1-3. There are nine categories for your pooch: Best Trick, Most Affectionate, Best Treat Catcher, Dog Who Most Likes The Judges, Cutest Small Dog, Cutest Medium-Big Dog, Best Tail Wagger, Best Hairdo and Coolest Ears.
