Wow. What a surprise to see myself pop up on the Brooklyn Heights blog. I guess that’s what happens when friends upload photos of me tagged with phrases such as “Peter Steinberg”, “Brooklyn Heights” and “Grace Court Alley”.

Keep up the great work Homer!

My friends with a couple of doors away and I went over because my niece Cordelia was attending her first Halloween gathering dressed as a lobster. Although I definitely cannot be objective, she was very cute! It was a lot of fun and I would recommend kids and parents stop by next year.

While somewhat on topic, did anyone else see these strange bubblewrap-like UFOs over the area on Halloween morning? I couldn’t help noticing these things from my office window. They actually seemed to be deliberately flying around (by R/C?), not just floating in the wind, and it was driving me crazy after a while trying to figure out what they were…

Wow, this is amazing. My father was describing these floating objects during a telephone call and I figured he was getting a little potty in the head. I guess I need to tell the old man he isn’t going crazy.

I saw one of those VERY objects wafting around in the breeze on Grace Court Alley.

I’m 99% sure they were just blobs of very densely packed soap bubbles. It came as close as 15 feet away from me and within a few feet of the ground. It was definitely not mechanical in any way.

    Hi Peter,

Can I ask what the story is with your carriage house–I’m assuming its yours since I’ve seen you giving out candy the last three years–I’m pretty sure last halloween it was under construction and it doesn’t appear to have made that much progress in a year. Why is it taking so long? Are you doing the work yourself?
