Channel 7 on Carrots at Colonie

Channel 7, ABC Eyewitness News reporter Lauren Glassberg visited Colonie, talked with some diners and with sous-chef Bryan Redmond, and watched him prepare a carrot salad. Video after the jump.

    Interesting that this restaurant was started thru “Kickstart”.

    Just as a point of clarification, it wasn’t started through, that was just a source of a small percentage of their start-up money. I don’t recall exactly but I think it was 20% or even 10%.

    That said, it was a very clever way to raise part of their funds. It garnered them a lot of press and created an instant clientele as soon as they opened.

    Does’t the NYC Health Code require all people who prep food to wear a hairnet or something covering their hair? I and a few others have noted that the guys at Colonie don’t seem to do that. Might want to attend to that before a camera crew comes in the next time.
