Shot in the Heights: Burn After Reading Open Thread

Burn After Reading, the new Coen Brothers film shot in Brooklyn Heights last year opens today. Ah! It seems like only yesterday Clooney, Pitt and Malkovich were frolicking in our humble nabe. Have you seen the movie? Post your review and thoughts below!

Couldn’t wait to see it. They did a good job segueing from a Washington scene (i.e, Clooney jogging with DC scape in the background) to an apartment in BH. Seem as though very little was shot here though. All that equipment/time/etc. for just a few short shots really.
Typically coen brother movie. I enjoyed it.

What are you talking about? Something like 50% of the movie was shot here. The Cox house is a mix of a Hicks Street interior and a State Street exterior. There’s even a glimpse of Jack the Horse. True, the Middagh Street shots (one is seen above) were brief.

I was really disappointed with the film. It seemed slapped together, was not funny, and the characters were all sort of forced and unlikable. The highlight was just pointing out BH scenes.
