gawd! I saw the trucks on my way to work this morning, but I did not know it was for the muppet movie. Damn, I cant believe miss piggy was in the nabe and I did not know. I am a big, big fan of miss piggy. she’s totally and incredibly hot, and i know if miss piggy met me she’d totally dump the wimpy frog and move in with me.

Sorry, ratNYC, I took advantage of a filming break and sidled up to Miss Piggy and got her phone number.

We’re meeting at Floyd after they wrap for a drink — and I’m hoping I can get her to come back to my place to see my etchings, if you know what I mean. ;)

    Wait… wasn’t Miss Piggy’s puppet master a man??

What the heck was Bloomberg doing there? Getting political advise from Fozzy Bear? Oh wait a sec, it’s the Great Gonzo with all the acumen.

He was in a scene actually. Little quip with Miss Piggy about the niceties of New Yorkers. In and out.

They should have had Marty Markowitz plugging Brooklyn instead…he’s much more of a Muppet than the mayor.

Anyone know how long they will be there. They had like 20 trucks on my street at 4AM. Booooo

When they wrapped for the night, Dave Goelz escorted Gonzo across Joralemon St. to say hello to everyone:

I’ve covered presidents and street sweepers, and everyone in between…and this is probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever photographed.

Beautiful pictures, weegee. It’s amazing how, especially in the context of some very depressing national and local stories over the past several days, just seeing the Muppets is sort of like rediscovering “your happy place.”

Are they filming there again today (Tuesday) ???

  13. weegee 09. Sep, 2008 at 8:08 am #

No…they’ll be in the city at E. 12th & University Pl. today, but back in Brooklyn (around Prospect Heights) on Wednesday.

Any idea where in Prospect Heights? Credit on my site to anyone with the info! (And credit to BHB, of course, not trying to steal readers.)
