Massage Parlor coming to Remsen Street

To the hair and nail salons that have opened on Remsen St btwn Court and Clinton, add a new Massage Parlor. Massage Envy is a national chain offering 1-2 hour massage packages (including “Swedish”, Sports, reflexology, and special prenatal and geriatric services) along with facials and other spa treatments. Introductory pricing appears very reasonable, with $39 charged for a one-hour service.

Oh boy – here come the 1970s all over again. Cue the wah-wah guitar.

I have a friend in his mid 50’s who grew up in the Heights who said to me “you live on Remsen? in the 70’s that street was crawling with hookers” Funny.

Blue Diamon next to Tazza is a clear hand-job-stand. But is a national chain really going to be giving happy endings? Maybe I’m naive… but really?

  • AEB

Sex in BH?! Maybe in the 70s, but never since. It’s not permitted. Or desired, putting aside real estate porn.

People please settle down… Everything is going to end happily!

When I see a headline that says, “Massage Parlor Coming to REmsen” I think, Uh, oh, there goes the neighborhood. But I think this one is a legitimate spa. Sorry, guys.

When I see that headline, Lori, what I think is- “Here we go again. Let’s see everyone compete for the best suggestive joke about a massage parlor. So far, T.K. Small has it; but the day is still young…

Actually I really like that place. It will be a great addition to the neighborhood.

A $39 massage sounds darn good to me!

Finally a local business is opening that doesn’t rub this blog the wrong way.

FYI Peeps: The Tui Na parlor on State off Court, called Five Element is a good deal. Don’t expect Bliss Spa, but $55/hour or $50/hour pp if 2 people go, it’s a great deal, and the women who work there know their stuff and put their heart into it. Don’t forget to tip well. Totally legit–no happy endings.

This is not the happy ending place on Henry near State. This is the place that has the ying/yang foot flag near Barnes and Noble.

Whatever the, um, services of this massage parlor, I hope they fix up that storefront facade. It doesn’t look so inviting right now.

Having moved from BH, I truly am envious of your good fortune. The closest thing I get to a massage these days are the daily ones provided by the LIRR.
