P.S. 8 PTA Hosts Night to Celebrate Reading

The P.S. 8 PTA is holding a fundraising event Monday night (11/14) – the Third Annual Night to Celebrate Reading at the Galapagos Art Space (16 Main Street in DUMBO). Guests include authors Tad Friend and Stacy Morrison. Suggested donations are $25 or $50 for a Readathon sponsorship of a P.S. 8 student.

Sure it’s for the kids, but this is an “adult only” event.

    Always a great event. Brooklyn and greater NY is truly a hotbed of great writers and you can get a small sample at an event like this.
    Kids from kindergarten thru 5th grade are reading their hearts out in the annual PS 8 readathon and your donations and book purchases sponsor the minutes these kids rack up.

    This is my favorite PS8 fundraising event of the year. Thanks so much for covering it, Homer. It’s going to be a great night – and you don’t even have to be a parent to enjoy it.
