Brooklyn Bounty at BHS

The Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont Street (corner of Clinton) will be foodie heaven this Wednesday evening, September 21, from 6:30 to 9:30, as the society presents Brooklyn Bounty, “a celebration of Brooklyn’s local foods and burgeoning sustainability movement.” A list of chefs and vendors participating in this gastronomic gala is here. In addition to tastings of food and wine, there will be “historic cocktails” served in the Society’s breathtaking Othmer Library, a silent auction, viewing of historical maps relating to agriculture in the area, and food-related storytelling by local folks. Music will be by the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn. Tickets start at $150, and may be bought here.

Seriously, they couldn’t make any tickets available for under $150.00? For the average Joe and Jane, and there are more than a few in Brooklyn Heights believe it or not, this is ridiculous. Those who can pay more, will. Why not make this event more accessible for all?

Yeah, a hundred and fifty bucks? Ya gotta be kidding!

    Pass.
