Montague Street Bagels Gets a “C”

Montague Street Bagels got a “C” grade from the City’s Department of Health, meaning it has 28 or more sanitary violations. According to the DOH:

The grade (or grade pending) card must be posted on a front window, door or outside wall where it is easily seen by people passing by. The card must be within 5 feet of the entrance and from 4 to 6 feet off the ground or floor.

Can you find the grade card in the photo above? Hint: it might come to your attention if you were sitting at the outdoor table and happened to drop your napkin.

    I have never actually wanted a small business to under but this place has changed my mind. I honestly can’t think of a more poorly run business I have ever gone too. They have never once got an order right, and that after trying several times over three years. It worth the walk to go over to court street and get the bagels there. THIS PLACE SUCKS.

    So much hate. This place used to be amazing. I appreciate it for all the amazing sandwiches I used to get whether it was the middle of the day or 4am. Unfortunately, these new owners aren’t doing a good job. Hot Bagels, you will indeed be missed.

    So sad, as others have noted, this place was awesome pre-reno under the former owners. Now it’s just awful.
