The Brooklyn Heights Playground Committee asks for volunteers to help with spring cleaning of the Harry Chapin Playground, on Columbia Heights north of Cranberry Street, this Sunday, May 15th, starting at 10:30 a.m. Please bring clean-up equipment of your choice, such as brooms, shovels, and dustpans. Among the tasks to be accomplished are refilling the sandbox (sand, which is not available from the Parks Department, is contributed by neighbor and parent Ralph Hassard), discarding broken toys, and generally getting the platground ready for the summer.
