Tomorrow (Saturday, April 30) promises to be a beautiful day for the Five Boro Bike Fest, to be held at Pier 1, Brooklyn Bridge Park from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The event is free and open to all, whether with bike or not. If you’re an early riser and would like to learn more about birds that live in or migrate through our area, there will be a walk on Pier 1 with Brooklyn Bird Club president Peter Dorosh from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. More details here.
Tomorrow afternoon starting at 2:00, the Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont Street (corner of Clinton) will present a lecture by Suleiman Osman, author of Inventing Brownstone Brooklyn: Gentrification and the Search for Authenticity in Postwar New York.
