Hit and Run at Cadman Plaza

An elderly man was struck by a hit and run driver yesterday afternoon around 3:41pm at Cadman Plaza. Eyewitnesses say, the driver tried to shake the man off of his hood by swerving the vehicle. Once that was accomplished, the driver sped away and the victim fell to the pavement. According to reports the victim will survive. Police are looking for a silver sedan with Pennsylvania plates. Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD hotline 1-800-577-TIPS.

From 1010 WINS: The man was struck at around 3:41 p.m. while crossing Montague Street at Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn Heights. The elderly man was carried on the hood of the car for about two blocks before he fell off, police said.

    Agreed. And driving south on Cadman or Court or whatever they call it at Montague is horrible, too — it’s almost a blind curve passing by Montague. Let’s hope the man is all right.

    Someone at DOT needds to survey the light system all around Brooklyn Heights and Downtown. Some idiot changed the sequence of all the lights and no one knows when to cross anymore. I called to try and get a red light camera put up at Adams where that poor woman was killed, but who knows.

    And to make matters worse DOT has completely gone mad. As of June 7th LEFT TURNS WILL NO LONGER BE PERMITTED FROM TILLARY ON TO THE BRIDGE OR FROM TILLARY ON TO ADAMS STREET. WHO IS MAKING THESE DECISIONS????
