Brooklyn Heights Resident is Employee of the Year

Brooklyn Heights resident Lara Joy Genovesi has been honored as Employee of the Year at Kings County Supreme Court, the Brooklyn Eagle reports:

Brooklyn Eagle: A resident of Brooklyn Heights, Genovesi has worked as law clerk to Justice Sunshine for eight years. Before that, she worked as law clerk to Justice Eric Prus and former Justice Edward Rappaport, after Genovesi was admitted to the bar in 1998. Both Prus and Rappaport were in attendance at this ceremony to congratulate Genovesi. She is a graduate of Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Her brother, Anthony Genovesi, is a solo practitioner who attended the ceremony with his wife, Carolyn Genovesi, who works as law clerk to Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Robert Miller.

“There’s no question that she is irreplaceable,” said Kings County Administrative Judge for Civil Matters Sylvia O. Hinds-Radix. She stated that Genovesi was easily picked as Employee of the Year based on “all of the wonderful things she’s done while she’s been here.”

I think she is related to the former (and now late) major Democratic kingpin, head of the Thomas Jefferson club and State Assemblyman, Tony Genovesi? The NYS Office of Court Administration website lists only one Anthony Genovesi (a solo) who is Tony’s son.
