As the world remembers John Lennon on his 70th birthday, imaginepeace.com runs this photo of John &Yoko on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade in the 1970s.

A free screening of the new biopic LennonNYC happens today in Central Park.

My old pal and Brooklyn Heights native Binky Phillips writes about his brush with Lennon at the  Huffington Post.

I remember that day. How? My brother and friend were rolling a refrigerator box down the promenade (we loved those boxes to play with) and we ran right into them. Yoko gave us each a flower. About 10 years ago I saw a film of them that day on MTV. I guess it was a staged shoot.

  • Obama?

Indeed, and there is much more to John’s death than “lone nut” Mark David Chapman. Lennon was very anti-military/industrial complex & FBI!
