Do you know a community service devotee right here in Brooklyn? He or she could be the recipient of the first annual “Brooklyn Do Gooder Awards.” The Brooklyn Community Foundation created a borough-wide initiative that seeks to identify and honor those who embody the highest values of community giving and service. The foundation invites the Brooklyn community to nominate individuals who give back locally– whether its time, talent, or charity. Once nominations are made at www.DoGoodRightHere.org, Brooklynites can vote on who they think is the best Do Gooder of them all. Read more at Cobble Hill Blog
