Twilight Swing Party Thursday Night

The folks at My Home Brooklyn are sponsoring Twilight Swing Cocktail Party an event tomorrow night presented by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s Junior Committee.  It will be held at DUMBO’s Galpago’s Art Space, 16 Main Street, at 9pm.  More info is available at the BBPC website and My Home Brooklyn.

    Sounds like a fun event. It is also nice to see more interest in the Brooklyn Bridge Park from a younger generation. I’m glad they’re giving an energetic and fresh edge to getting involved in non-profit work.

    But you guys missed a great party at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden tonight (to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the BBG), with a dance floor, drinks, popcorn and other refreshments, plus a live band playing music from the 1920s, and elegant BBG members dressed in early 20th century fashions, plus others just dancing their hearts out. The festivities were still going strong when I left at 8:45pm.
