The Brooklyn Women's Exchange, 55 Pierrepont Street (between Hicks and Henry), is presenting a series of special events every Thursday (except for Thanksgiving Day, when the Exchange is closed) from this week through December 13. This Thursday, November 8, from 11:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m., Deborah O'Connor will make silhouettes of children (call the Exchange at 718-624-3435 to make an appointment). On the same day, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Madeleine Appell will present a quilting workshop.
The following Thursday, November 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Lisa Detwiler will present her collection of fine jewelry. From 3:30 to 6:00 p.m., teens and kids book author Phil Bildner will sign his books, 21 Elephants, The Shot Heard Around the World and Barnstormers, all of which will be available for purchase at the Exchange. Events post-Thanksgiving will be described in a later post.
