The line this afternoon was very long, stretching around the corner onto Henry Street, and presided over by several police officers.

However, right next door at the Thrift Store, with no line at all, you can avail yourself of their offers of free condoms.

The line moved fast. Thank you to Haagen-Dazs for generously celebrating your birthday with everyone in the neighborhood. And as my husband said, you didn’t skimp on the scoops. It was a treat! Many happy returns of the day, and may you continue to prosper on Montague Street.

    That cake is amazing!

A great cake at the very first Haagen-Dazs ever. Started in the Bronx by a guy that thought the name would sound European and sell more. Apparently it worked.

Any truth to the rumor that this event got so out of hand that the police HAD to be called in? When I went by at 7:00, the line was pretty short, but I could see folded-up police barricades that apparently were required at some point. In any case, it was a great way to celebrate their birthday. Up to now, the only thing that was offered for free at Haagen-Dazs was a larger waistline.

Went there at 9:00pm after dinner with a large group of family members. No line at all. Thank you HG !! So very generous and we all enjoyed the yummy icecream on a pretty evening for just that — hot/muggy/lightening overhead!

This was a great event. My entire family went after dinner the line was tiny.

Congratulations Joseph and Liana – I miss your store in Wheatley Plaza. I’ll have to stop by when I’m in Brooklyn.
