Great work! I loved the use of Debussy in there throughout. Sometime it would be great to learn about the other end of Joralemon in the Heights – the former Insurance Building and some of the buildings that border with downtown.

It’s amazing how many famous artists lived in Willowtown and especially in the carriage houses along 276-284 Hicks Street. One that you forgot to mention was the famous abstract painter Esteban Vincente who lived in 280 Hicks Street between 1942 and 1946. I would imagine that carriage houses were well suited to artists because of large work spaces, high ceilings, and large skylights on the upper floor.

Karl, I enjoyed your 2-part series about Willowtown, which is a truly special part of Brooklyn Heights.
