Modul a.r.t. Comes to DUMBO

Spring cleaning often goes hand-in-hand with the desire to spruce up one’s place a bit. Thanks to architect Donald Rattner and his wife, Gaby, this can extend beyond a bouquet of daisies from Peas & Pickles. Modul a.r.t. is their pop-up design studio that caters to those who want to fill their walls with art, but shy away from the hefty price tag.

The geometric styles, or portfolios, include three lines: Wall A.R.T., Shelf A.R.T. and Mural A.R.T. You can mix and match the eye-popping colors, shapes and sizes in an endless number of ways for customizable works; more can later be added or taken away, allowing the design to evolve over time.

And if you’re like me and know what you like but don’t have a knack for design, Donald can help you bridge that gap as well. The studio is at 81 Front St. in DUMBO until April 18th. For more information, visit or call 877-360-3660.
