NY1.com: A rare violin, lost in a subway station, has been found.
Police say the rare "Scarampella" was turned in to the MTA's lost and found.The owner says he lost it five days ago when he fell asleep on a bench in the Clark Street subway station in Brooklyn Heights.
The violin is said to have been made by Stefano Scarampella, one of the premier violin makers of the 20th century.
Tom Chiu said the violin has been his heart and soul for the last 13 years.
