New Torah is Celebrated and Rabbi Simcha Talks Schtick Shift at Brooklyn Book Fest

Schtick Shift author Rabbi Simcha Weinstein, moderator Laura Sinagra and authors Ethan Gilsdorf (Fantasy Freaks and Gaming Geeks), Brian Raftery (Don’t Stop Believin’) and Eddie Sarfaty (Mental) discuss “obsessive fun” at today’s Brooklyn Book Festival.

Right before Rabbi Simcha’s appearance, members of his Congregation B’nai Avraham ushered in their new Torah (aka the longest selling book in history) with great fanfare, known as Siyyum, celebrating the donation of the new scroll by Joyce David:

    As I was walking past the celebration, I noticed a group coming from the opposite direction, wandering toward the music with smiles of delight.

    It made me happy to see them happy.
