As Mary Frost reports in the Eagle, last Monday, March 6, Ivan Aguello, co-owner of Key Food Montague, saw a strange man who “looked like a California surfing dude” (follow the link to Ms. Frost’s story to see photos) entering the store holding an empty shopping bag. Mr. Arguello kept an eye on him because “he looked suspicious … like he’s not a New Yorker.” When the “dude” left the store with a bulging bag, Mr. Arguello followed him and “asked him very nicely” to see a receipt. The thief yelled at Mr. Arguello, then brandished a knife. Carla, a cashier, ran out of the store and pulled Mr. Arguello away from the bad guy, who then ran. Mr. Arguello tried to chase him, but the robber made good his escape.
