Once again, the only planned subway service change this weekend directly negatively affecting local stations is that from late evening Friday, June 17 to early Monday morning, June 20 there will be no Brooklyn bound service at High Street, as A and C trains will be diverted to the F line between West 4th Street-Washington Square in Manhattan to Jay Street-MetroTech in Brooklyn. From Saturday morning to Sunday evening there will be extra service in both directions at Court Street (remember, you will have to enter via the Borough Hall station while the elevators are being replaced at the entrance on Montague) and at the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech, as N trains, which normally go over the Manhattan Bridge, will be diverted to the R line between Canal Street in Manhattan and DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn. Those traveling into Brooklyn should know that all Brooklyn bound trains (2, 3, and 4) normally serving Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza, and Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum will be skipping these stops. To reach them, take a train to Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College and catch a Manhattan bound train back to the skipped stop.
The following work week — Monday morning, July 20 to Friday evening, July 24 — late nights there will be no Brooklyn bound service at High Street, as A and C trains will be diverted to the F line between West 4th Street-Washington Square in Manhattan to Jay Street-MetroTech in Brooklyn. Late night G train service is suspended completely. Free shuttle buses will provide service between Jay Street-MetroTech and Court Square, and F trains will make G stops from Jay Street to Church Avenue.
These are the planned service changes directly affecting service at local stations. Always check MTA Info for unplanned service changes that may affect local service or service on other parts of your trip, or for planned service changes that affect stations to or from which you may be traveling.
