The Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, 55 Pierrepont Street (between Hicks and Henry), which unlike previous years remained open much of this summer, is re-opening tomorrow, Saturday, September 7, after a break for inventory. The exchange will now revert to its usual hours: Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Exchange is a not-for-profit craft and gift shop, staffed by volunteers (disclosure: your correspondent’s wife is one of them) that supports “craftspeople from Brooklyn and beyond.” Its offerings include children’s and dolls’ clothes, toys, and books as well as items for adults, including t-shirts, housewares, condiments, and books.
