It’s an all piano weekend at Bargemusic. The weekend begins Friday evening, September 6 at 7:00, when pianist and composer Timo Andres (photo, by Michael Wilson) will perform a concert, “Moving Études,” beginning with a 2017 composition by himself with that title, followed by six pieces that alternate between classical (Schubert) and contemporary (Philip Glass).
On Saturday evening, September 7 at 6:00, pianist Sophia Agranovich will play works by Beethoven, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Liszt, and Debussy.
The weekend’s concerts conclude on Sunday afternoon, September 8 at 4:00, when young pianist Marika “I am not a rock star” Bournaki plays Part VIII in her series of all of the Piano Sonatas of Beethoven.
On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, details here. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
