In the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn is accepting donations of clothing and toiletries through the end of October for the people of both Cuba and Haiti. Donations can be sent directly to the church at 124 Henry Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201, or dropped off during normal business hours.
Here are more details from the Church’s recent Instagram post:
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. -Luke 6:38
Good morning friends. We all saw the devastation hurricane Matthew left in its wake in Cuba and Haiti. We at #firstchurchbrooklyn are collecting clothing for the men women and children of these islands. As you switch your wardrobe from summer to fall/winter we ask you to donate any of your summer items to those on these islands. We ask for new and/or gently used summer clothing. Also we are asking for new underwear and socks. Many of the people on these islands lost everything so we are asking for your help. Any and every size are more than welcome ❤️ Also toiletries are necessary items. Toothbrushes/paste, lotion, brushes, soap etc. are also being collected (new of course 😊) For more info on how you can help contact us #youareloved #brooklynheights #brooklyn #pcusa #newyork #prayersforhati #prayersforcuba #clothingdrive #donate #helpout #riseandgrind #mondaymotivation #morning #morningmotivation #mondaymorning #donate #helpothers (@firstchurchbrooklyn)
