This Friday evening, April 29, at 8:00 Bargemusic will present violinist Joanna Kurkowicz (photo) and pianist Doris Stevenson will perform works by Mozart, Ravel, Bach, and Previn. On Saturday evening, April 30 at 8:00, pianist Claire Huangci will play works by Scarlatti, Chopin, and Brahms. May Day afternoon at 4:00 brings a mix of French impressionism with American ragtime and modernism, including works by Ravel, Ned Rorem, Barber, Bolcom, Scott Joplin, and Dan Welcher, performed by violinist Irina Muresanu and pianist Rita Sloan.
Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated. There’s more information and buy tickets for the evening and Sunday concerts here.
