Seen on Montague Street: Someone Named Betsabeh Wants to Have Coffee with Jim Jarmusch

A sign posted on Montague Street by a person named “Betsabeh” asks filmmaker/ Brooklyn icon Jim Jarmusch out for a cup of coffee. A photo of it has been circulating on Facebook. The sign reads:

dear jim jarmusch
i flew 1000km to brooklyn it took me 16 years

i am happy and i think its time for a coffee
would you like to drink coffee with me?

i will wait at the sackett
661 sackett street brooklyn
each friday from 18 of july to 1 agust/ 20 – 22 pm
my name is betsabeh
have a nice day everyday


Perhaps Jarmusch will see the sign while visiting his pal/Brooklyn Heights resident/ artist Joe Coleman (seen here in a 2010 documentary).

Jarmusch’s latest film, the vampire flick “Only Lovers Left Alive” was released earlier this year.

    Too far. “The Sackett” is off 4th Avenue, in that no-man’s land between the Gowanus Canal and Park Slope. (They think they’re Park Slope, but I’ll bet the flood water comes in the front door.) And she’s not even showing up until 8 pm. You want some Heights resident to take off his pajamas and put his day clothes back on to trek out to Gowanus?
