Community Board 2 (CB2) will hold its next general meeting Wednesday, March 13, at 6 p.m. The place: St. Francis College in Founders Hall (the auditorium), 180 Remsen Street, between Clinton and Court streets.
Among agenda items:
* Ruth Saunders, chairperson of the Health and Social Services Committee, will present the committee’s recommendation on city facilities proposed to be sited per the Citywide Statement of Needs for Fiscal Years 2014 and 2015. Based on a standing CB2 resolution, the committee recommends opposition to new social services.
* The economic development, land use, parks and education committees will report on meetings since the February general meeting. The general meeting will conclude with an open session at which the public may speak.
* Before the meeting is called to order, Emily Colascco, manager of Urban Art/Summer Streets for the Department of Transportation (DOT), will present “There Is No Us Without U,” artwork created by veterans for display cases to be installed in Willoughby Plaza this summer.
