“French Bistro” Coming To Atlantic Avenue @ Henry

A Craigslist ad Monday March 5, tips that a “new french bistro is opening on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn Heights.” The post is searching for staff: “Candidates must be friendly, experienced and enjoy being part of creating something new.” Anyone know the where and when?

UPDATE: JaMon shares in comments: “The bistro will be taking over the former site of La Mancha on Atlantic and Henry, set to open in about two months. I passed there yesterday and they are still doing construction and fixing up the interior.”

The bistro will be taking over the former site of La Mancha on Atlantic and Henry, and from what I heard, the restaurant is set to open in about two months. I passed there yesterday and they are still doing construction and fixing up the interiors.

That’s great! Maybe they’ll serve “moules et frites” (mussels and fries), or is that Belgian?

Glad some businesses are coming over to Atlantic Ave. There are a lot of vacant storefronts, particularly on the south side of the street going toward the water.

Moules et frites is both Belgium and France. The yearly Braderie de Lille in Northern France is famous for mass mussels consumption with restaurants proudly dumping shells on the street with the highest pile winning some contest (stinky but traditional…).

Definitely won’t be missing La Mancha’s “food”.

    that’s for sure…

Can’t wait for it to open (some real heavy talent behind it…). That slice of Atlantic Ave. is shaping up to be quite the high quality rest area.
