“Mulchfest” Christmas Tree Disposal Saturday

If you haven’t already put your Christmas tree out on the sidewalk — or if you have and you’d like to move it to make room for all your uncollected recyclables — the Parks Department will hold its annual “Mulchfest” recycling drive tomorrow. Haul your tree down to Cobble Hill Park between 10 AM and 2 PM, and Parks Dept. staff will grind it into mulch to use in parks and gardens citywide. You’re welcome to carry some mulch home for your own garden, so bring along a bucket or bag with your tree.
