La Traviata: No Delivery for You!

After receiving a tip from “RH”, BHB has confirmed that La Traviata — arguably the nabe’s “go to” for quick Italian delivery — has suspended delivery. Reports are that they’ve lost the lease on their satellite store that handled delivery orders. This contradicts a recent report in the Brooklyn Paper which claimed the lease had been renewed.

The restaurant tells us that you can still pick up orders at the 139 Montague Street location.

Update (5/5 1:27pm): A BHB tipster tells us that the Joralemon location is being “gutted” right now!

    Any theories from anyone in the community, the real estate industry or the restaurant business as to how you can go from having a sign in the window saying “lease extended, we’re still in business” to a week later being gone and gutted?

    Since I’m lazy and will not walk to Montague for pick up, can anyone recommend a good italian place that delivers?

    They used to do delivery out of the Montague St location before they opened their “satellite”. Hopefully they will figure out a way to restore this service in the near future!
