The Brooklyn Paper’s Butcher of Flatbush Avenue, who hasn’t been too kind to our own Heights Players in the past, gives a rave for the troupe’s latest production, Leading Ladies.
Brooklyn Paper: However tired the plot, the laughs keep coming in surprisingly quick succession. The Heights Players weren’t necessarily born for their roles, but they’re great at stand-up comedy.
Indeed, if this show is worth seeing at all, it’s because of Healy and his troupe, not because of anything writer Ludwig brought to the table.
The Heights Players are auditioning tonight for their upcoming production of Fiorello. (Not for nuthin’ but BHB contributor Marc Hermann would make a great LaGuardia!)
