Ready for Some Kora Music? St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Thursday

The kora is a “long-necked harp lute of the Malinke people of western Africa.” Althea SullyCole (photo) will play it this Thursday evening, July 29, starting at 6:00. She will be joined by Ras Moshe on saxophone and flute, and by Alec Saelens on guitar. There’s more information here.

The concert is part of St. Ann’s summer concert series, that benefits the church’s “Pop-Up Pantry,” which provides non-perishable food and fresh produce to those in need. Those attending the concert are asked to bring food donations or make a cash offering to support the Pop-Up Pantry. Entry is through the church’s main entrance facing Clinton Street.
