Brooklyn Heights Ass’n “Designer Show House” Opens Next Weekend

This year’s Brooklyn Heights Association Designer Show House will be 13 Pineapple Street (photo by your correspondent, taken in the afternoon when shadows are bad, and while some pre-show gussie-ing up was going on). The BHA sez:

This is a rare opportunity to visit a historic home on a quiet, tree-lined street in Brooklyn Heights while discovering the work of cutting edge designers! Fifteen designers add their unique touch to the rooms of a wood frame house, blending old with new Brooklyn chic.

The house will be open Friday, September 27 through Sunday, September 29, and after that Wednesday through Sunday each week, through Sunday, November 3. Purchase tickets here. There’s an Opening Night Party this Thursday, September 26 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. You may purchase tickets here.

How the 1% dresses up their homes. Stuff like this makes me realize that my abode will never live up to these high standards—like impossibly thin models.

Agreed, though I’ve nothing against them, especially when they have good taste, and I’m grateful that they let people have a look inside. It’s very generous, considering the artistry that is on display in some of these homes.
