Promenade Tree Lighting Wednesday; Celebrate After at Brooklyn Women’s Exchange

The annual lighting of the tree at the Montague Street entrance to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade will be at 5:30 PM this coming Wednesday, December 13. Carolers from the Grace Chorale of Brooklyn will be there to provide holiday spirit. Afterwards, the carolers will proceed to the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, at 55 Pierrepont Street (between Hicks and Henry), where the Exchange will stay open late and offer hot apple cider and cookies. They invite you to bring the whole family.

Because of my work schedule, I probably won’t be there for the lighting, but I will be at the Women’s Exchange afterward.

Did you see the tree they put up? It has two big holes in the branches on each side half way up! You’d tbink that one of the wealthiest communities could buy a top of the line tree once a year, but not here folks!!!

It was soooo cold, that as soon as they lit the tree, I left for home.

I missed the lighting, but went to the Women’s Exchange and warmed up with hot cider.
