As seen on Facebook, local Moms are organizing a “non-political” child and family-friendly event at Jane’s Carousel on Wednesday night. Organizer, Tara Sparks is quoted in DNAinfo, “I believe in our community — we have amazing people here. I thought we needed something to unify us and get us all together.”
On Wednesday, November 16, 2016 starting at 5pm we’re inviting everyone from all walks of life to come together and “Stand for Love.” Organized by community moms from the neighborhoods of Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO, the event will be held on the lawn near Jane’s Carousel in DUMBO. There will be music and kids crafts from Creatively Wild, and faith leaders and local politicians are likely to attend.
This is a non-political event. It is a joint effort to show love and support for everyone in a time when many people are in need of both.
