The school year is underway and the District 13 CEC is spreading the word about important meetings and events taking place this week.
Monday, September 26th
Participatory Budgeting

Per the CEC website, this information session is an opportunity for collaborative brainstorming with electeds, school leaders and parents “on ways to spend funds that each Council Member has allocated to the Participatory Budgeting Process (several MILLION in capital funds) and submit ideas of your own.” Past projects have funded improvements for neighborhood parks, schools and infrastructure.
Please note all ideas must be submitted by September 30th. District 33 residents may attend this meeting, submit ideas online at ideas.pbnyc.org or email them to Councilmember Levin’s PB Coordinator, Benjamin Solotaire at bsolotaire@council.nyc.gov. Additionally, Councilmember Levin will be holding a D33 Assembly on Tuesday, September 27th at We Work, 195 Montague Street, 6:30 – 8:30pm.
