Bank On It: Work Ensues On 177 Montague Street Rear Condo Entrance

The 13-unit condo integration at 177 Montague Street—the location of Chase Bank—is moving forward following its approval by Community Board 2′s Land Use Committee last December.

Barry Rice Architects is the firm on the project, which calls for condos in the rear annex building at Pierrepont Street. At year-end, building owners York & Sawyer also bid to add a one-story rear addition, while agreeing to clean the exterior, replace skylights, remove air conditioners, add new insulated windows—and install a residential entrance canopy.

The main bank hall comprising Chase Bank is landmarked inside and out, and it will remain as is. (CT)

I presume the residential entrance will be on Pierrepont, rather than Montague. Makes sense.
