Downtown Brooklyn Sprouts Another New Hotel Property

A Hampton Inn is coming to 125 Flatbush Avenue Extension, according to a sign posted on the construction fence there. A rendering from hotel developer LodgeWorksBrownstoner provides is offered from Brownstoner. The 13-story building will provide 116 guest rooms with scheduled completion in spring 2014. Work began at the site in December, with plans first announced in March 2012. The Hampton Inn joins the Aloft Hotel and Hotel 718 in Downtown Brooklyn.

Our beautiful neighborhood is turning into Manhattan. Crowded, noisy, dirty. Sad.

Hmm, I’m not sure Flatbush and Tilary are technically part of our neighborhood, and certainly not a beautiful corner (quite the opposite). Which does lead me to ask who would stay around that area. I’m guessing it’s aimed at travelers with business at Metrotech or the Courts.

So I guess they’ve torn down the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott, not mentioned as a hotel in downtown. Or are you referring to hotels under construction? In that case, how about mentioning the Bossert as well?

I can’t even tell you the last time I was in that neighborhood.
Other than going to TKTS I have little reason to venture to the Flatbush Avenue Extension.

Hotel 718 rebranded to Hotel Indigo awhile ago.

Hopefully, it will have a fun rooftop bar with a clothing-optional pool!
