75 Clinton Street Open For Biz: Rentals Up To $11K A Month

The new nine-story 75 Clinton Street at the corner of Montague, which posted a short promotional video April 4, has begun leasing its 74 units. Nearly a dozen studio, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments are listed on Streeteasy. Monthly rent: from $2,362 to $11,000(!). See interior shots here.

The building, marketed by Milestone Property Management, shifted from condos to rentals in late January.

    Please. I doubt anyone would rent on that corner for $11K a month.

    I predict it will be a dormitory for Brooklyn Law in one year.

    The apartments are a joke – more like cubicles. (notice the 24 inch wide refrigerators! But – they’re stainless steel!) Whoever designed it, or whoever made the decision to squeeze as many apartments as possible between the exterior walls, is a greedy nitwit.

    They learned quickly that no one was going to spend $500K to live in a monk’s cell, and they will eventually have to drop the prices now that they are rentals. Students, stay tuned!

    I suppose if you can afford $11K a month you can afford to take cabs. But still, for that much you can also own a place.
