With the clouds and the fligh path the 747 took, people were a little disappointed with the view from the promenade, especially when taking pictures & videos. Oh well, I’ll probably go down to DC/Virginia to see the shuttle Discovery later this year.

Enterprise, welcome to your new home!

I went to the roof of my apartment building and took some pictures. I was surprised that they came out at all. I sent them to friends in PA and they were happy to see them.
It was a wonderful sight to see!!

I thought it was very exciting to stand on the promenade and see the Space Shuttle Enterprise piggybacked on a 747 flying by. I couldn’t expect it to fly any closer than it did. I was also happy to see so many people and school kids who came down to see a happy event not like the last time we stood and watched another plane on a different mission.

I was lucky enough to se it fly by my office window on Hudson Street. Quite an impressive sight.

I found the piggybacked duo unexpectedly moving. Some anthropomorphizing going on with me. I thought: one mighty being carrying another….
