This Saturday, January 21, at 2 p.m., the Brooklyn Historical Society is offering a rare guided tour of the landmarked facility, designed by architect George Post and built in 1881. Visitors can learn about the cutting-edge craftmanship employed in its construction, architectural highlights and all about those terra cotta faces that line the facade.
Nope, it’s not gratis, but the tour—part of BHS’s Brooklyn Walks and Talks series—is free with museum admission Saturday ($6 adults, $4 student, teachers, seniors, free under 12) and won’t cost a dime for BHS members.
